Introduction

Soham is a growing town of around 12,000 people, situated just off the A142 between Ely and Newmarket in the district of East Cambridgeshire. The Town Council consists of 15 Councillors who serve a four-year term. All Councillors serve on a voluntary basis and do not receive payment for their Council work. We have a small team of staff consisting of the Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer, the Assistant Clerk, three Groundsmen and two ancillary staff who, together, deliver a range of services for the benefit of residents.
